POOR PARISHES

FUND RAISING FOR POOR PARISHES

I don't know how many of you are like us, but we now do a great deal of our purchasing via the Internet. One of the main sites we visit is Amazon, but we also send flowers via the Internet and buy goods for the home. In addition, we use the Internet to get weather forecasts or to buy electronic goods. The Internet is now a major place to shop.

Yes, Internet buying is now a normal and widespread method of making purchases.

What many people do not know is that there is a wonderful little scheme that you can use to raise money for poor parishes within our Archdiocese.

If we use this scheme whenever we shop over the internet with any more than 1000 major retailers such as Amazon, Dixons, Argos, Debenhams, Tesco etc. we can have, on average, 2% to 5% (but up to 15%) of the cost of our purchases sent to a fund that is used directly to help our poorest parishes.

To make this possible, we just have to register with www.easyfundraising.org.uk and then log on to the Easy Fundraising site before making your purchases, selecting ‘Poor Parishes - Archdiocese of Birmingham’ from the drop-down list.
